Local engineering firm Calcinotto takes office space in Fleets Corner, Poole

Federated Hermes has announced that Calcinotto, the Poole-based civil, structural, and environmental engineering firm, has selected Fleets Corner Business Park for its new headquarters in a move that will see the company occupying more space. The move to Fleets Corner follows the company’s steady trajectory of sustainable growth.

Coinciding with the firm’s 20-year anniversary, Calcinotto has signed for 4,000 sq ft of newly refurbished office space at Fleets Corner’s Waterloo House, a unit two and a half times larger than the company’s current office in Poole. Benefitting from extensive frontage to the A349 Waterloo Road, Waterloo House has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment, including replacement of all windows and ceilings, and a thorough redecoration throughout the building. Calcinotto’s upsized office will also feature a large open-plan kitchen, multiple breakout spaces and meeting rooms.

Stephen Ellis, Senior Investment Manager, Federated Hermes, commented on the signing: “We are committed to upgrading Fleets Corner to ensure that every element, whether an office, warehouse or retail showroom, is suitable for the successful running of the next generation of businesses. This commitment to the longevity of the business park is reflected in Calcinotto’s selection of Fleets Corner, and we are proud to welcome another established local business to our community.”

Calcinotto’s Directors, Julian Calcinotto, Matthew Singleton and Alex Wait, added: “Following our continued growth and success over the last few years, we have been eager to find the ideal office to enable the next step in our company’s expansion. With a fairly long list of non-negotiables, we wanted an office close to the major regional routes where we could proudly welcome our clients, enjoy an abundance of on-site amenities, and benefit from extensive car parking. Our brand-new office at Waterloo House fitted our brief perfectly, and we even have extra space for a couple of all-important pool tables.”

Calcinotto’s diverse team of engineers and technicians has decades’ of industry expertise, providing multi-disciplinary consultancy services to the construction and development industries. Calcinotto now joins the UK’s largest alternative provider of wholesale fibre infrastructure, CityFibre, as the latest occupier to take space at Fleets Corner’s recently refurbished Waterloo House.

Galena Real Estate, JLL, Goadsby and CBRE acted for Federated Hermes on the deal.
