Sports nutrition brand lands first major supermarket listings via Asda partnership
Liverpool headquartered sports nutrition company Applied Nutrition has gained its first major supermarket listings in the UK for its Diet Protein powder, debuting in Asda this month across 365 stores.
Alongside Diet Protein, Applied Nutrition also has its Keto Collagen and Greens nutrient boost products also appearing in 80 stores for the first time in July.
Applied Nutrition’s Diet Protein is an “advanced weight management supplement”, combining all of the main ingredients known to support weight management including CLA, l-carnitine, green tea, whey protein isolate & whey protein concentrate.
The resulting product is a low carbohydrate, high protein shake, “ideally suited to build and repair lean muscle while keeping body fat low”.
2022 has proven a standout year thus far for Applied Nutrition with sales increasing over 30 per cent, shortlisted at The Grocer Gold Awards earlier in the summer and it has brought several international sports stars on board as ambassadors.
Next month the company is releasing two new HFSS snack bars and the company stated it has a “packed pipeline” of products in development in both performance nutrition and health and wellness categories.
Founder and managing director Thomas Ryder commented: “Our Diet Protein is a premium high quality protein supplement and has been a top selling product for us, both in the UK and the international markets we operate in.
“We have a large product offering and are on a mission to prove great flavours and quality sports nutrition aren’t mutually exclusive, you can have both.
“So we’re absolutely delighted our friends at ASDA have chosen to offer their customers a high quality, fantastic tasting alternative to protein supplements customers may have tried in the past.”
