New waterfront apartments launch in London’s “most ambitious regeneration area”

On September 24, Ballymore and Oxley are set to launch a collection of 42 new waterfront apartments at Riverscape, following the successful launch of the new development on the edge of the River Thames last year.

The brand-new building named The Leslie comprises 42 contemporary new apartments, and represents the scheme’s best-value new homes for prospective buyers. Spread over 10 floors, there are 21 one-bedroom apartments as well as 14 two-bedroom apartments and 7 three-bedroom apartments.

Research by global property consultancy JLL suggests that average house price growth in areas surrounding 76 per cent of Crossrail stations outperformed the regional average between 2012 and 2021, with homes surrounding Custom House station witnessing the third largest premium along the line, highlighting the appeal of Riverscape for investors.

Additionally, JLL’s research forecasts that buyers will be increasingly attracted to Thames-front locations within the Royal Docks that boast a complete lifestyle offering, such as Riverscape. Once the world’s largest enclosed docklands, Royal Docks has established itself as London’s “most ambitious regeneration area” and its only Enterprise Zone.

The “ready-made, family-focused” neighbourhood of Royal Wharf, with its 10,000 residents and established community spirit, lies next to Riverscape, enabling residents of these new apartments to benefit from established facilities and amenities on their doorstep.
