'Help for Homebuyers' event returns to the capital with Barratt London and Zoopla

Housebuilder Barratt London sees the return of its ‘Help for Homebuyers’ event later this month to help aspiring and current homebuyers navigate purchasing property.

The intention behind the event is to help said homebuyers with their journey up the property ladder and find out what they can afford in the capital, particularly after Help to Buy comes to an end.

Taking place at Club Quarters Hotel, 8 Northumberland Avenue, near Trafalgar Square, on Wednesday September 14, the event seeks to demonstrate ways in which all types of buyers can “beat the market” and buy at one of its new homes developments across the capital.

Attendees will be able to speak directly with sales advisers and a range of industry experts on the subject of mortgages, the buying process and government schemes available with Barratt London, even more important as the end of Help to Buy approaches, and affordability.

Barratt London representatives will be joined by mortgage specialist Mark Dobbs from Torc24, who will be on hand to inform and educate buyers on the financial process, as well as market insight from industry specialist Kate Faulkner.

Also in attendance will be Alex Rose, director of new homes at online property portal, Zoopla and property advice content creator Tayo Oguntonade who will detail his own experience of the homebuying process.

For those looking for financial advice on the homebuying process, expert Peter Komolafe, host of the Conversation of Money podcast will also be there. All guests will join the Barratt London team in a panel discussion followed by a Q&A session from the audience covering everything from understanding eligibility criteria to perfecting your credit score.

Jim Wood, managing director at Barratt London, commented: “Buying a home in London, whether you’re already on the property ladder or not, is a significant achievement but one that can be highly complex, confusing and stressful.

“Our ‘Help for Homebuyers’ event pulls together all the information that buyers will need in one place and has any questions answered. With the end of Help to Buy approaching there are still plenty of home ownership options out there and this is a great opportunity to find out more.”

Representatives from Barratt London will be present to discuss the range of properties it has available to buy throughout the capital, including Eastman Village in Harrow, Hendon Waterside in Hendon, Ridgeway Views in Mill Hill Village, Springfield Place in Earlsfield and Hayes Village in Hayes.
