On-demand laundry platform "eases burden" on hospitality industry with over 70 new hotel partnerships

On-demand laundry and dry-cleaning platform Laundryheap has announced a raft of new hotel partnerships spanning multiple cities across the UK.

In 2022 to date, an additional 71 hotels have partnered with Laundryheap; using its laundry and dry cleaning services directly as well as offering additional laundry services directly to guests.

This roll-out aims to support hotels in refining a “seamless and personalised” experience for all guests, without compromising on quality. Laundryheap’s on-demand platform operates a door-to-door service that includes contactless pick-ups and drop-offs, with a 24-hour guaranteed turnaround time for any laundry left in its care.

Laundryheap’s services are also easing the burden on hotels facing staff shortages, with one in five businesses in the hospitality sector struggling to recruit cleaning staff, according to Barclays. Thus, partnering with Laundryheap allows establishments to maintain laundry services without the need to hire additional staff.

Laundryheap’s services have been made available at 65 additional hotels in London, and six hotels across the Midlands and the North, including Manchester, Birmingham, and Wolverhampton.

This includes an extension of its partnership with Holiday Inn by offering services to six additional chain-branded hotels across London, alongside a partnership with Point A Hotels and Z Hotels across London, covering locations such as Belgravia, Covent Garden, and Shoreditch.

Lateef Ogunbadejo, Partnerships Manager at Point A Hotels, commented: “Going into Autumn, with corporate bookings on the rise as employees swap the home office for the physical office, it’s fantastic that we can rely on a reliable partnership with Laundryheap to ensure guests have access to all services.”

Deyan Dimitrov, CEO and co-founder of Laundryheap, added: “We’re delighted to announce that our services are becoming increasingly more available across London and other large cities across the UK.

“We hope the contributions of our new partnerships will add increased support to the hospitality industry and ease the burden of extensive cleaning routines for all types of businesses.”

Laundryheap is looking to foster more partnerships in 2022 in a bid to tackle staff shortages across the hospitality sector. The platform is set to expand further into the retail sector by partnering with cafes, restaurants and bakeries across the UK.
