Midlands developer win international property awards
A Midlands based property developer is celebrating after scooping prestigious international awards for two of its luxury European developments.
E5 Living Europe, which is run by Warwickshire businessman Kevin Stevens, scooped the accolades for its sympathetic restoration of Villa San Lorenzo in Old Town Palma and a new build home, Villa Anguli in Camp de Mar, Mallorca, in the European Property Awards.
Villa San Lorenzo is a prize winner in the residential renovation / redevelopment (Spain) category with Villa Anguli ranking in the residential property (Spain) category.
E5 carried out an extension renovation to Villa San Lorenzo to restore the property to its former glory, creating a four-storey town house that made the most of its enviable location in the Palma’s conservation area overlooking the city’s historic cathedral. It was sold for €4.2m. It designed and built the state of the art four-bed, four-bathroom Villa Anguli in a prime location on the Camp de Mar headland, which was sold for €5.4m.
The level of award for each property will be announced at an event at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on October 27. The top winners in each region are automatically entered in to the overall international awards that are revealed in a ceremony at the end of the year.
The European Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised programme throughout the regions. They are judged by an independent panel of more than 80 industry experts and focus on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.
The award-winning projects were delivered by E5’s European arm, the sister company to E5 Living UK, which is currently working on residential developments in Grimsby and Lincolnshire, and E5 Care, which is masterminding a social care project soon to be unveiled in the West Midlands. Kevin Stevens, director of E5, said: “I am immensely proud that our developments have been recognised in these awards. Our aim was to deliver an unrivalled level of quality in these homes where the standard in the upper echelon of the market was already incredibly high and to win these awards is a sign we achieved it.
“We set the same benchmark for all the projects we’re involved in, whether it’s in Europe or the UK or in the mainstream or the luxury property market and look forward to building on the reputation E5 is developing in the years to come.”
