Go Wind Announces Series of Turbine Installations for Wind Energy Giant Enercon and First Installation of its type in the UK

One of the UK’s leading wind turbine installation and maintenance businesses– North East based GO Wind – has this month announced the successful installation of its first onshore wind turbines for one of the world’s leading wind energy companies, Enercon, and the announcement of a further programme of work already secured.

Located in North Lanarkshire, the installation of the turbines – both Enercon E-138 EP3 models – are the first turbines of their kind in the UK and, for the GO Wind business, is the start of a multi agreement work programme with the energy giant that will roll out across the UK and beyond.

Speaking about the North Lanarkshire installation, GO Wind MD and Founder, Paya Kolahi said: ’This installation is the culmination of many months of work for the GO Wind business and is the start of an extensive programme of installations which will see us installing multiple turbines not just for Enercon but also for many of the other major players in the industry.

’It has taken us a considerable amount of operational planning, mobilisation and resourcing to get the business to this stage where we have successfully positioned ourselves as a market leader with a pipeline and programme of work that stretches well into 2023.

‘We are very much looking forward to the delivery of this extensive work programme, the recruiting of a large number of skilled people from across the North East region and to the imminent growth of our business.’

GO Wind provides a range of services to the offshore and onshore wind sector including installation, maintenance and component replacement.

The business works with a number of global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and – as part of its extensive work programme – is expecting to see a twofold growth in the coming two months as it recruits and expands installation and operations teams to meet new contract wins and deliver already contracted wind turbine installations at scale.
