Battersea Power Station ‘reaches for the sky’ with latest retailer announcement

Sky, one of Europe’s “leading” media and entertainment companies, has unveiled a new shop at Battersea Power Station.

This will be Sky’s third bricks and mortar shop in London and builds on its existing presence in the capital with head office locations and Sky Studios Elstree in close proximity.

Sky’s retail footprint stretches across the UK with shops in some of the UK’s “biggest and busiest” retail destinations such as Westfield London and Westfield Stratford, St David’s, Cardiff, St James Quarter, Edinburgh, Bluewater, Kent and Arndale, Manchester. It is the 13th shop launch in two years and the first since the launch of Sky Stream.

Customer experience is said to be “at the crux” of all Sky shops and has been designed with customers’ needs in mind. The shop brings Sky’s “industry leading customer service” to shoppers across the UK and provides space for customers to speak with expert advisors.

They are separated into designated themed spaces across an open-plan layout, encouraging “easy conversation” between advisors and customers. The shops also have a dedicated ‘Customer Hub’, complete with seating areas, that will allow existing customers to speak to advisors about their current products.

Matthew Price, retail director, Sky, commented: “Being part of the landmark Battersea Power Station development is a proud moment for Sky.

“We know getting the best value for money is top of mind for everyone right now and our expert advisors are on hand to help customers find the right package at the right price. Our shops provide an ideal opportunity to try before you buy, ensuring customers take home the products and services that suit their needs”.
