Practical Wisdom and ReWire Join Forces Launching “Practical ReWire”

Those with ADHD are being given the opportunity to undergo a Practical ReWire, via a new product, following its inception during National ADHD month 2022.

Two expert companies in physical and mental exercises that help with symptoms of ADHD have come together during the national awareness month, to launch an exciting, innovative and brand-new product that improves focus and concentration.

Now fully available, Practical Wisdom, a company that focuses on mental wellbeing for those with or support those with ADHD, and ReWire, a duo of physical training experts that help those with the condition to look after their bodies in a way that supports a healthy mind, have branded the innovative new approach as Practical Rewire.

Practical ReWire is a six-week course that is specifically aimed at increasing focus and concentration via physical and mental exercises.

Helen Davies, who is also a clinical director for the NHS, has been helping parents who have ADHD traits, sharing hints, tips and coaching through Practical Wisdom for a number of years. Through Practical ReWire she hopes to reach more people with the condition and by combining with the physical element, is confident that the initial course will be hugely impactful. She said:

“Having been on a personal journey as someone who feels different, being an original thinker with ADHD traits, I wanted to find a way to be caring, supportive and accessible to even more people. The initial six-week course has been especially designed to make a difference and be an innovative solution.”

The physical element comprises of 9 different sets of exercises every two weeks, so in total, 27 exercises that are carefully selected by James due to their important role of helping the brain focus. Through the inclusion of eyes, inner ears, breathing, hands and co-ordination, the exercises help concentration. James said:

“The exercises are specifically designed for this 6-week progress and to assist with precision, which is the difference between those with ADHD being able to focus or not, each 30-90 second video comes with a descriptive resource to read before the exercise is undertaken.”

The exercises comprise of Gaze fixations, Eye saccades, Eye convergence (pencil push ups) , Air hunger, Vestibular rotations, Isometric strength holds, Hand mobility exercises, Cerebellum/coordination drills and Breathing drills.

Through the videos and hands on support from Helen, James and his co-founder Gareth, aim to make support accessible that those with the condition would not find elsewhere, for an affordable investment. Clients will receive monitoring worksheets, access to a private YouTube Channel so they can watch on TV or any device, weekly check ins by both James and Helen as well as group support.
