Steven Bartlett launches talent acquisition platform to bridge “digital talent deficit”

London based Flight Story has today announced the launch of Flight Talent, a “first-of-its-kind” talent acquisition platform and community, specialising in hires for professions introduced by the ‘digital wave’.

The ‘digital wave’ has driven technological advancements across industries, creating new positions in functions including social media, digital marketing, AI, Web3 and blockchain. Flight Talent will “sit at the forefront of innovation”, bridging the talent deficit which is reported to be holding 70 per cent of businesses back from keeping up with the pace of change.

To help businesses anticipate hiring needs and maximise the opportunities presented by new and evolving industries, Flight Talent will pair businesses with talent of the right calibre and skill sets to ensure they stay ahead of the curve.

Flight Story is the “innovative” communications group, founded by the creators of Social Chain, Oliver Yonchev and Steven Bartlett (BBC Dragon’s Den).

Over the past 10 years, Oliver and Steven have grown and nurtured teams in fields created by the ‘digital wave’, as well as supported clients in equipping them with the people, process and technology to capture the opportunity technological transformation creates.

The minds behind Flight Story are now formalising their expertise with the launch of Flight Talent. Flight Talent will be an exclusive community managed by Steven, giving members unique access to online and in-person events, talent consultation and networking opportunities.

Oliver Yonchev, CEO and Co-founder of Flight Story commented: “The internet is rapidly evolving. In order for businesses to keep up with the pace of change, they need to hire correctly ahead of this growing sector.

“Whilst job posts for roles in certain sectors have increased, such as Web3 and Blockchain, positions in existing functions - such as marketing and creative - are also evolving. Businesses will need to build their talent pipeline so that it consistently produces high-quality candidates, equipped to fulfil changing business needs.

“Without the right tools and services, such as Flight Talent, there is a risk of a potential skills gap where available or emerging roles cannot be filled quickly enough.”

Co-founder of Flight Story, Steven Bartlett, concluded: “Finding skilled and passionate people is difficult, and in this new world, high-quality candidates aren’t on traditional recruitment platforms. At Flight Story, we understand what it takes to make companies thrive in change. This is why we built Flight Talent.”
