Kocho opens new Cardiff office creating new tech jobs in expanded cyber security hub
Enables the company to meet acute market needs for managed security and digital transformation
Kocho, UK-based provider of cyber security, identity, cloud transformation and managed services, has announced the opening of its new offices in Cardiff. In alignment with its ambitious growth plans, these new premises – located at 2 Kingsway overlooking Cardiff Castle – will increase the size of Kocho’s security operations centre (SOC) and house its expanding team of identity specialists.
Kocho was formed earlier this year following the merger of London-based TiG Data Intelligence with Cwmbran-based identity and cyber security specialist ThirdSpace. The company is a leading Microsoft partner that helps mid-market and enterprise companies – including many household brands –adopt complex, digital technologies while, at the same time, protect against cyber threats.
The new office increases Kocho’s capabilities in Cardiff, fulfilling its plans to establish a cyber and identity centre of excellence in Wales, which provides services to clients across different industries, including financial services, health, manufacturing and professional services. The company plans to recruit up to 40 new team members into its SOC over the next three years.
Along with its new Cardiff office, Kocho is actively strengthening its relationship with the University of South Wales in order to nurture and inspire the next generation of cyber security talent, particularly in young women interested in successful careers in technology.
Kocho has current annual revenues of £40.6 million and 260 employees across its offices in London, Cardiff, Hersham and Manilla. It expects to more than double its revenues within the next five years through a combination of organic growth and acquisition, as demonstrated by its recent acquisition of the leading Surrey-headquartered mobile security and managed service provider Mobliciti.
“It’s really exciting to unveil the new Kocho office space in the heart of Cardiff,” said Des Lekerman, CEO of Kocho. “We’re an ambitious, fast-growing company which recognises the strength of tech and cyber talent available in Wales. We’re keen on bringing additional benefits to our customers across Wales and the UK by combining our expert identity and security skills paired with cloud transformation and managed services to meet a growing and acute market need.”
