Warwickshire company is heading into 2023 in record-breaking fashion

A Warwickshire company is heading into 2023 in record-breaking fashion after celebrating a milestone year that saw new jobs created and a move in premises.

Sandell, a fit-out and refurbishment specialist, recently raised a glass to 50 years in business with a special event in Birmingham and is now looking ahead to 2023 with ample reason for optimism.

The company, which moved from Tachbrook Park in Leamington Spa to Shottery Brook Office Park in Stratford-upon-Avon midway through 2022, shows no signs of slowing down and is heading towards a record turnover in this financial year.

Already it has secured in excess of £3m worth of new projects that are due to start in the New Year. Two apprentices have joined the company in 2022 along with three new members of staff – a Site Manager, Contract Manager and Commercial Designer.

The company was established in 1972 by Robin Sandell, focusing mainly on the installation of suspended ceilings and demountable partitions within commercial premises, before current owners Adrian and Andrew Stanier purchased the business in 2004.

It now works across a range of sectors – from commercial and industrial premises to motor dealerships and hospitality.

“It is a significant achievement for any company to celebrate 50 years in business, considering the problems experienced by all industries during the global pandemic,” said Managing Director Adrian.

“We are extremely proud of achieving this milestone and we are very excited about the future of the business as we continue to go from strength to strength.

“We expect to achieve a record turnover this financial year and have secured a number of new projects for 2023 so we can continue heading in the right direction.” Sandell has undertaken a wide range of projects in 2022 including a major Category A fit out of a new industrial unit on Tournament Fields in Warwick.

Other large projects have been undertaken at the Bull Ring and Grand Central in Birmingham city centre as well as a host of office refurbishment/fit out projects throughout the region, several industrial unit refurbishment projects in the Midlands and South East and motor retail projects in North London, Milton Keynes and in the Midlands.

Adrian added: “We have a diverse mix of clients and our celebration event was an opportunity to thank the team for all of their efforts and also to enjoy an afternoon with some of those customers we serve across the region and the country. Covid made meeting face to face extremely difficult over the past couple of years but we pride ourselves on providing a personal touch to clients – after all people still buy from people – so it was great to come together and reflect but also look ahead to a bright future.”
