A new business park providing high-spec industrial and warehousing units for SMEs in the North East has been completed in Darlington.
Evolution Business Park, Barrington Way, was officially opened by MP for Darlington Peter Gibson, who welcomed the addition of 21,559 sq ft of new workspace to the region’s property market.
Adam Richardson, director of property developers, Priority Space, said: “We are very pleased to see this keenly-awaited project complete and enquiries for the units coming in from SMEs across the North East. We look forward to seeing Evolution Park playing its part in supporting Darlington’s economic growth.”
Matthew Wharton, director of Darlington-based Wharton Construction said: “It was great working with Priority Space and their team of partners on this project. The units look great and I’m sure will prove very popular with businesses looking for commercial space in Darlington.”
Peter Gibson, MP for Darlington said: “I am delighted at this continued investment in Darlington, bringing new jobs to local people and supporting growing businesses.”
Evolution Business Park’s units are built to meet high standards of environmental sustainability, with steel portal frame structures, security features, car and bike parking and the option to add mezzanine floors.
The business park occupies a 1.4 acre plot of formerly vacant land within Darlington’s Eastern Growth Zone. Its 14 units range in size from 1,002 sq ft to 2,005 sq ft and are available for sale or rent.
Darlington’s Eastern Growth Zone is an area of employment land supporting commercial, industrial, retail and hospitality developments.
