New group forms to ‘unite brands and boost Gen Z prospects’ following fifth acquisition
London based Unseen Group has launched its new buy and build brand and EVP following its fifth acquisition in the talent and student employability sectors.
The revamped group has ambitions to continue uniting businesses that know how to speak to the next generation of talent, with TopScore Tech being the latest company to be acquired at the end of 2022.
Revenues more than doubled last year compared to the previous year, from £2.1m to £4.5m, and the group now consists of early talent attraction portfolio, Careerpass Network, employability consultancy specialists, Gradcore, and leading digital assessment platform, TopScore.
Zac Williams, CEO of Unseen Group, realised the early talent and employability markets were “fragmented” and spotted the potential to bring companies together that work across the route from education to employment to offer a better experience for all involved.
He commented: “Our vision to ensure that no pathway goes unseen is a really exciting one, there are so many amazing platforms and businesses out there solving certain pieces of the puzzle really well, and as a group we’re able to bring those pieces together to offer the marketplace something genuinely innovative.
“We’re on a mission to provide opportunities and choices for Gen Z and beyond, and we’ve made some huge steps on that so far, facilitating over a million graduate job applications and candidate assessments.
“The launch of the Unseen Group is just the beginning of us achieving our full potential as we continue exploring the marketplace and uniting brands that feel they align with our group purpose.”
Unseen will grow to 50 employees in February 2023, up from 30 at the start of last year, with three key hires being made across leadership. Dee Murphy, the group’s new COO, whose career has seen her work with the likes of WeWork, Meta and Airbnb, has been integral in the creation of the new umbrella brand and what it represents.
She added: “We’ve built Unseen’s value proposition from the ground up, involving all of our employees and embedding their feedback into every sentence of our culture guide.
“Our values aren’t just words we’ll stick on a wall and never look at, they’re thought out, true to who we are as a collective and will be the guiding light for us and any new businesses that join us on our mission.”
