Hull based communications agency tops record year with European office launch

H&H, a multi-award-winning communications agency based in Hull, has just opened its first European office in Budapest, Hungary.

H&H works in sectors as diverse as pharma and mining and partners with global brands such as McVitie’s, Uber and Fujitsu.

Its employee communication specialism is “rooted in psychological theory” and is successfully supporting employers to engage and connect their employees with transformational change, wellbeing projects, acquisition and mergers, health and safety, culture and leadership changes.

The COVID-19 pandemic changed the world of work forever as employees shifted from physical workspaces, through lockdowns and social distancing. And as hybrid models continue to evolve, the need for better employee engagement and connection has “never been more critical”, according to a spokesperson.

Since the start of 2022, the agency has doubled in size, now employing over 40 people. The business was co-founded by Hannah Thoresby and Helen Bissett in 2011.

Hannah commented: “The last few years of unprecedented demand made this feel like the right time to broaden our reach. Budapest has been reported to be one of the best European cities for starting a business, and we already have some people on the ground there.”

Helen added: “Covid turned the world of work upside down and back to front. Demand in our sector has skyrocketed and we get a constant stream of enquiries coming in from European businesses. Now is the perfect time to find a location that makes us better placed to attend face-to-face meetings with European clients.”
