P-THREE appointed to lease iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit, The Podium and East Bank F&B on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
P-THREE, the specialist real estate agency and consultancy focused on mixed-use development and prime retail and leisure leasing, has been selected by the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) to lead on the leasing of the key restaurant and catering anchors on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, including 15,800 sq ft (GIA) of restaurant space at East Bank.
Opening later this year, East Bank is a brand-new riverside development set to rival existing cultural and education centres in London such as The South Bank, South Kensington and King’s Cross. Designed to be a place of innovation and creativity, it is home to the BBC, Sadler’s Wells, UAL’s London College of Fashion, University College London and the V&A. The development contains six new prime restaurant units overlooking the river, for which P-THREE is focused on securing operators that complement the cultural focus of East Bank.
In addition, P-THREE has been appointed to secure operators for the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the UK’s tallest sculpture and world’s longest and tallest tunnel slide created by Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond and The Podium, a 14,105 sq ft restaurant space.
Thomas Rose, Co-Founder of P-THREE, commented: “Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is fast becoming one of the most exciting destinations in London, and East Bank is the most significant new addition to London’s cultural landscape for decades. The East Bank restaurant units are in a prime location and are ideal for established operators seeking somewhere special to expand, or new concepts inspired by the unique setting and purpose of East Bank.”
Edward Fane, Head of Venues from the LLDC added: “The Park is an incredible place with millions of visitors drawn here each year by our world-class venues, cultural offer and events as well as two established business districts. We are looking for partners who share our ambition and aspirations for the Park and we know that P-THREE’s knowledge, experience and market insights will help us to attract the very best mix of catering, retail and leisure operators.”
P-THREE’s appointment follows its delivery of an in-depth Retail Vision strategy for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for LLDC. P-THREE’s consultancy team was tasked to reimagine the park and its future as a destination by identifying the potential of its commercial elements. Reflecting its ethos, P-THREE considered the optimum mix from the perspective of the visitors that use the Park, the local community, the companies and organisations based in Stratford, football fans and international tourists. The team brought their extensive knowledge together in a visioning document and strategy. P-THREE are sole agents for The Podium and ArcelorMittal Orbit, and joint agents on East Bank with CF Commercial.
