Six Physio Chelsea welcomes pioneering new health technology championed by renowned surgeon

Chelsea’s first clinic to house brand new cutting edge MBST® device opens its doors to the public this February.

Leading London-based physiotherapy clinic, Six Physio Chelsea, has announced the addition of a new pioneering health device, MBST to treat musculoskeletal conditions, such as arthritis and osteoporosis.

Founded by Consultant Physiotherapist, Matt Todman, in 1998, Six Physio Chelsea is the first clinic of its kind in West London to house a cutting edge Molecular Bio-Physical Stimulation (MBST) device.

The device stimulates cell repair and regrowth using non-invasive technology to help people with musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis and sporting injuries to recover and live pain-free.

Inspired by the ever changing medical landscape and treatment options, Matt decided to bring the MBST device to the clinic to provide his patients with an alternative pain-free option to invasive surgery. After witnessing first-hand how MBST technology transforms lives by helping people to return to full function after prolonged periods of injury and pain, he is eager to help others with musculoskeletal conditions across London and further afield.

He explains: “I’ve had my eye on MBST for a good few years after renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon, Jonathan Webb, had great results and recommended it. MBST helps bridge the gap for patients who don’t quite get the results with physio & rehabilitation and don’t want to undergo invasive injections or operations, with all the obvious risks and side effects.

“This treatment is completely non-invasive and pain-free, which makes it a fantastic alternative to any type of invasive intervention or strong medication, which can often be coupled with extreme side effects.”

MBST has transformed the lives of thousands of people across the world over the past 20 years and is fast becoming a therapy of choice for elite athletes and sports professionals, but also for everyday people looking for help with musculoskeletal conditions or injuries.

Matt continues; “It’s not often a piece of tech can harness so much potential, so we’re absolutely thrilled to bring this game-changing therapy to Chelsea. This is a very exciting step for us and for our patients, we can’t wait to see and show the incredible results which will come from this new addition! We need to change the wear & tear slogan of Osteoarthritis to wear & repair with MBST.”

Six Physio Chelsea will use pioneering MBST technology to treat osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, soft tissue damage, sports injuries as well as a number of other musculoskeletal conditions.

The technology works by stimulating damaged and degenerated cartilage, bone, ligament, tendon and muscle cells to encourage repair and regrowth. Once the cells of the affected area or injury have been sufficiently stimulated from MBST therapy, the cells will continue to grow and develop by themselves, reducing pain and enabling greater mobility.

Located just off the Kings Road, Six Physio Chelsea is ideally placed due to its desirable transport links by road, train or plane and close associations with sporting centres. MBST therapy at the clinic will be delivered by a team of fully qualified physiotherapists alongside a course of physiotherapy to help support and speed up recovery.
