Turf-rific news: local landscaping company appointed on Legal & General's Crayfield Park, Orpington
Crayfields Park, Legal & General’s 22 acre mixed-use scheme providing quality office and industrial space in Orpington, has secured Planet Turf as its dedicated landscape contractor.
Based less than 5 miles away, the landscapers will carry out a range of works at Crayfields Park. This includes planting fruit trees and creating trail-style experiences, with all gardening waste recycled within the site. With over 30 years’ combined experience, Planet Turf’s team of highly skilled gardeners and landscapers are well-regarded across southeast London and Kent, and have selected Crayfields Park as a training location for an apprenticeship scheme, further investing in its community.
Situated in the Cray Valley, Crayfields Park benefits from close vehicular links to London and a large catchment of residential housing and civic functions. The park comprises a number of quality office and industrial units in a community that is home to multi-national companies as well as local start-ups.
Kristian Smith and Marc Petters, Directors of Planet Turf, said: “Our team of highly skilled gardeners and landscapers are known for their expertise and dedication to each project, big or small. We are delighted to join the community at Crayfields Park and take pride in our role, enhancing the space and creating apprenticeship opportunities for local people.”
Nigel Marsden, Senior Asset Manager, Legal & General, added: “At Crayfields Park we are always aiming to go above and beyond in terms of creating added value for our community. Enjoyment of the outdoor environment is important for our businesses and stakeholders, and this is something Planet Turf are perfectly placed to enhance at Crayfields. We’re also proud of their work to introduce an apprenticeship scheme here,
with fantastic opportunities for local people who want first-hand experience and to develop their love for agriculture and landscaping.“
The appointment of Planet Turf follows a successful leasing period throughout 2022 for Crayfields Park. The scheme welcomed OX Tools, a world leading tool manufacturer, and secured renewals for wholesale UK foodservice giant Brakes, business communications specialist Telecoms World, and the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
