“Innovative” dining concept continues UK expansion with new East London venue

Build-to-rent operator Get Living is set to welcome the “highly popular pioneer” of egg-based dining, eggslut, to its East Village neighbourhood in Stratford this coming Spring.

Eggslut at East Village will be the restaurants’ fourth and largest site to date in the UK. It will be located on Victory Parade and is set to feature a large outdoor terrace, seating 90 customers with views of Victory Park.

The eggslut concept originated as a chef meal in a two Michelin star restaurant, and this “chef-driven quality remains at the core of each dish”. All menu items are cooked fresh to order, using locally sourced ingredients and no freezers are used on site.

The brand has partnered with Bread Ahead bakery and East London locals, Nude Coffee Roasters. Eggslut Stratford will be the brand’s 16th location worldwide, reflecting its growing and far-reaching fanbase.

In addition to its “renowned” signature menu, executive chef Bruno Pires has developed a new evening menu designed to position eggslut as an all-day dining option in Stratford. Locals and visitors will also be able to enjoy an exclusive menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at the new restaurant.

Eggslut will join the “diverse and creative” line-up at East Village, which includes modern dining concepts and sustainable retailers.

This curated offer, which focuses on small, independent and community-focussed names, has proved “very popular” with the residents at East Village and the wider community alike. Other recent additions to East Village include Bamboo Mat, the popular Peruvian-Japanese fusion restaurant, and Bakehouse, the Italian artisan bakery by Signorelli.

Richard Allen, head of retail at Get Living, commented: “Eggslut choosing East Village for its fourth and largest UK location is testament to the diverse and thriving nature of the neighbourhood.

“Eggslut is the perfect addition to the existing line-up, with its innovative concept and growing fanbase, and we know that residents are already looking forward to its opening.”

Bruno Pires, operations manager at eggslut, added: “We are so excited to bring another store to our customers. Longer opening hours, new menu items, big terrace for the sunny days. We had so many followers asking to open in East London and we can’t wait!”
