Polish born entrepreneur shows that Britain is still at the forefront of technology
Jakub Lenski is a twenty one year old entrepreneur who was born in Poland but had migrated with his mother to the United Kingdom at a young age. Facing immense adversity both at school and outside of it due to his Polish background, he had learned English within the span of a few months and quickly showed his enthusiasm and ability at school, achieving the best grades which provided him with the opportunity to attend Manchester Metropolitan University to learn more about design and technology.
During his studies he quickly showed his entrepreneurial spirit and had caught attention of infamous investors from Pareto, a seed fund that invests in exceptionally talented entrepreneurs who are still in college and university. Jakub started something that was altruistic, a brand which would allow for shoppers to do more for the environment by planting trees and helping reduce the global carbon footprint via his brand Afiliatree.
This wasn’t the first successful project the young entrepreneur had undertaken. Whilst still in school he had saw the potential of using Amazon to sell low competition products such as lanyards, which proved to be a successful venture, and one that would plant a seed for his most successful venture to date, Ecom Pilot.
It was around the same time as his Afiliatree venture that Jakub was invited to speak at TEDx, an opportunity not many receive, in Sheffield at Sheffield Halam University to speak about his journey so far to industry experts and students at the university.
Sharing his compassionate and motivational story, he drew in the crowd with his philosophical views and vision of the future. These views and thoughts expressed the concern for the current economic climate and the steps necessary to be taken to bring opportunity to all, whilst improving carbon footprint and the overall economic climate.
Before even graduating Jakub had built the first version of Ecom Pilot, and received the necessary funding from Pareto to help bring his overall vision to life. Now his company is one of but a few that showcases that Britain is still leading in developing entrepreneurial endeavours and scholastic thought, allowing him to join Z-Fellows as the first non-US based founder in a cohort which matches exceptionally talented entrepreneurs to Silicon Valley veterans.
In the past year, his company, Ecom Pilot has become the go to solution for entrepreneurs such as himself and even big brands to source products and use the power of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to optimise previously mundane and time intensive tasks. Partnering with the likes of Amazon, eBay, Shopify and Online Shop, the company is rapidly growing and is becoming a bigger success story each day.
