LawBite restructures subscription plans to further support SMEs through recession
LawBite, the online platform that democratises access to legal support, is restructuring its subscription plans to help make high-quality business legal advice easier to access, more transparent and predictable.
At a time when material input, labour costs and administrative overheads are rising, small businesses are bracing for a difficult year. Unfortunately, recession-related pressures make legal issues more, rather than less likely, and remaining on top of day-to-day legal documents such as contracts, third party agreements and regulatory requirements is more important than ever.
In response, LawBite is reforming its offering to help businesses manage their cash flow and predict costs associated with accessing high-quality legal support when it is needed. For example, with the new Professional package, small and growing businesses can spread the cost of legal advice with a monthly fee of just £43, or save with an annual subscription, entitling them to 3 hours of legal advice for use across the year, a reduced hourly fee and access to legal templates across a range of contracts and agreements. LawBite users can also earn £150 of legal advice credit for each successful referral, with £50 of credit going to the referee, with no limit on the number of referrals.
In addition, LawBite is launching a new interface that enables users to see approximate hours for each case – such as drafting Loan Agreements (1.5-4.5 hours), filing Trademark applications (2-2.5 hours), or reviewing IR35 compliance (2-4 hours). For small businesses, who may be unfamiliar with the work and expertise associated with an issue they are facing, this transparency can make a significant difference to how SMEs feel about seeking out legal advice.
As compared to the costs of an average high street law firm, an example LawBite Professional user requiring support with investment and shareholder agreements and a lease review (with an expected average time range of approximately 11 hours combined) can expect to pay just £1,664, a saving of over £1,300. This new innovation, combined with LawBite’s commitment to providing fixed-price quotes for legal work, puts the power back into businesses’ hands, allowing them to take control of their legal overheads.
Clive Rich, Founder of LawBite, said: “We know that these are troubling times for SMEs, and are proud to be able to be responsive to our clients’ needs by restructuring our subscription plans to provide more ‘always on’ support’. In a sector where the words ‘billable hours’ strike fear into many small business owners’ hearts, we are showing there is another way to do law, by making costs more predictable and transparent.”
