Evolve celebrate two prestigious nominations

Evolve Psychology Services, based in Harrogate and Huddersfield, is celebrating being nominated in two categories at the Yorkshire Choice awards 2023.

Business owner Dr Laura Powling has been nominated for Business Woman of the Year and the whole team has been nominated for the Customer Service Award.

Evolve Psychology Services started nine years ago, and, since then has gone from strength to strength supporting hundreds of patients from around the country. The 30 strong team offer neurodevelopmental, expert witness and wider psychological assessments and psychological therapies for clients of all ages.

The team work with individuals and families to provide expert witness assessments for the HM Prison Service, courts and parole boards as well as immigration tribunals nationwide. Dr Powling is also passionate about working with victims of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery.

Nominee Dr Laura Powling said: “I am already so proud of the team for our Customer Service nomination. The clients and families are at the heart of everything we do. It’s often a stressful time for people when they first contact us needing help and support form themselves or a loved one. To be recognised for the way we approach this is really special.

“I am particularly proud of the NHS contracts we have been awarded to support in significantly reducing the waiting times for Neurodevelopmental (Autism and ADHD) assessments in Yorkshire for children aged 0-19.”

“This has made a significant difference to the children and young people, as well as their families. Awards like the Yorkshire Choice Awards help us raise our profile so that more people can find us and access our support, particularly as they can also access our 0-19 neurodevelopmental assessment services now via GP referral and the NHS choice framework- or ‘Right to Choose’.”

“The awards are won by public vote and the voting is open. We would be so grateful if our communities would vote for us. It only takes a couple of minutes but it does make a huge difference.”
