From Westminster to Gateshead: MP Liz Twist Shines Spotlight on Growing Local Hydraulics Business

Hyserve, a leading hydraulics engineering company, welcomed local MP Liz Twist to their 11,000 sqft dedicated hydraulics facility in Birtley to celebrate the company’s recent strong growth, new employees and discuss how local government can support growing companies in the region.

During the visit, Liz Twist, Member of Parliament for Blaydon, met with Jerome Dardillac, Managing Director of Hyserve, and toured the facility, which specialises in a full suite of hydraulic engineering services for the marine, oil and gas, and renewable energy industries including design, manufacture, testing, maintenance, and repairs.

The visit gave Liz Twist the opportunity to see first-hand the large-scale hydraulic projects being undertaken at the facility in Birtley and an opportunity to meet with some of the 24 full time employees, including new apprentices.

Following the visit, Liz Twist said, “It was wonderful to visit Hyserve and see first-hand the exceptional work they do in hydraulics engineering. Having only been founded in the last couple of years, their success serves as a shining example of the innovation and ambition that is here in the North East.”

Jerome Dardillac, managing director of Hyserve, expressed his gratitude for the MP’s visit, stating, “It was an honour to host Liz Twist MP and discuss our business goals and vision for the future. We are proud of our growth and are committed to supporting the local community and economy and look forward to engaging more with local government to find the best way to collaborate and showcase our region.”

Hyserve’s growth to 24 full-time employees in 24 months has been fuelled by an increasing demand for hydraulic services from further and further afield on the back of wider industry investment in renewable energy.

Hyserve’s focus on sustainability and community engagement is a testament to their commitment to long-term growth and success within the North East of England and beyond.
