Cheshire-based massage and wellness company secures six figure funding from HSBC UK
A Cheshire-based massage and wellness company has secured funding from HSBC UK to acquire and fit a new premises.
The Massage Company, Altrincham, has utilised a six-figure HSBC UK funding package to support the acquisition of a brand-new 2,600 sq ft treatment facility.
Bank funding has also been used by the business to purchase and fit equipment across the premises, including the installation of electric therapy beds and massage equipment.
With HSBC UK funding, The Massage Company will open its new 12 treatment room facility, including a duo treatment room, and is anticipating the recruitment of 15 new staff members.
Gavin Hawthorn, owner of The Massage Company Altrincham, said: “We’re incredibly excited to open a state-of-the-art massage therapy centre in Altrincham and are confident that this facility will bring real health benefits to the region.
“HSBC UK were quick to understand the potential of our offering as a business and with support, we have been able to fulfil our ambitious plans for this site. We look forward to welcoming customers from the local community over the coming months and being part of their wellness journeys.”

Founded in 2016, The Massage Company is a ‘Membership Based Massage Business’ (MBMB) catering to regular massage and delivering individual monthly massage regimes via subscription. The massage specialist organisation offers Swedish massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage, as well as upgrades, including hot stones, scalp massage, fantastic foot massage, and aromatherapy.
