Land Digital empower aspiring individuals to take their first leap into Digital

Land Digital, a Sunderland-based agency that uses a data-led approach to deliver digital solutions, recently ran a 2-week digital bootcamp to empower aspiring individuals to jumpstart their careers in Digital.

In partnership with Sunderland Software City, the bootcamp supported the group with the experience of working in a digital environment.

The bootcamp took the group through ideation, branding, design, visual development and a product launch strategy. At the end of the two weeks, the individuals presented everything they learned to Land and Sunderland Software City senior management.

Michael, whose idea was to develop a platform that would connect students with potential mentors, said “The bootcamp was fantastic! It gave a great overview of a project life cycle covering all aspects - concept, design and build through marketing and launch. A hands-on experience with knowledgeable mentors. Land Digital staff are friendly and super supportive, making for a really enjoyable two weeks.”

Sarah, Head of Delivery at Land said “We set the students a challenge in coming up with a business idea, creating a prototype and then crafting a marketing plan to take to market all within 2 weeks. Everyone rose to the occasion and presented some amazing ideas to our judging panel showcasing fundamental skills. We’re excited to see what they achieve in the future!”

Sunderland Software City said “Sunderland Software City has been delighted to collaborate with Land Digital on the Tech Talent Ready program. Sponsored by the North of Tyne Combined Authority, this program provides a range of training opportunities for individuals to increase their skills and enter the tech and digital sector. Land Digital has hosted an invaluable 2-week program, enabling students to gain a comprehensive understanding of their work and create a prototype based on a business concept. This is an extraordinary work experience opportunity – and we look forward to working with Land Digital again in the future.”

Following the positive feedback from the latest group, Land Digital and Software City plan to run further bootcamps later this year to support ambitious individuals who want to explore a career in the digital industry.
