Business of Science Conference confirms University of Salford as headline sponsor
The Business of Science Conference, taking place on 18 May is delighted to be working again with the University of Salford as headline sponsor.
The annual conference, this year held at Cloth Hall Court in Leeds, brings together the most brilliant minds to discuss and take forward the commercialisation of science and innovation, and to cultivate and develop a community of like-minded individuals seeking commercial, environmental and societal benefit.
Following previous successful years in Manchester (2016 & 2017), Liverpool (2018), Leeds (2019), Birmingham (2021) and Edinburgh (2022), the Business of Science conference will be returning to Leeds in 2023 to highlight the wider region’s role in the development of ground-breaking science, innovation, and invention, with the University of Salford returning as headline sponsor for its second year.
Steve Bennett, Founder and Managing Director said “We are delighted to be working again so closely with the University of Salford as a headline sponsor for this year’s flagship event. We have worked with the university since 2016 and having them again headline sponsor the conference tightens this bond and demonstrates the importance the university attaches to science, innovation, the environment and the strong connection to business.
For several years, the UK has been challenged about developing great science, but not then delivering commercial success. The drive to increase relevant STEM skills, along with the plans to increase R&D spend as reflected in Government’s desire to be a “Science Superpower”, means this is a perfect time for BoSC23 and we are delighted at the commitment being shown by Sponsors, Partners, Speakers and delegates to this.“
Denise Rennie, Acting Dean, School of Science, Engineering and Environment confirmed that “The Business of Science Conference fits perfectly with our mission at Salford, which is about collaboration and working with industry to ensure our research can drive and deliver benefits for business. It is a pleasure to be sponsoring this worthwhile event once again.”
