Surrey-based haulage firm delivers growth with support from HSBC UK
A family haulage business based in Walton on Thames has purchased 10 new vehicles and extended its premises with support from HSBC UK.
BR Saunders - specialists in 1 to 95 tonne self-loading and unloading vehicles – has utilised a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK to purchase 10 new 32 tonne loader-crane vehicles with lorry loaders suitable to lift up to 10 tonnes.
In addition, BR Saunders has acquired a six-acre area of land with support from HSBC UK to house the extended fleet. The HSBC UK funded expansion will enable BR Saunders to increase its turnover by 20 per cent.
As part of this expansion, the business is anticipating further recruitment for driver and office positions, as it increases its market share in the South of England.
Paul Saunders, director at BR Saunders, said: “Our long-standing relationship with HSBC UK has been crucial to helping us become a leading and trusted name in the haulage industry. The funding will ensure we continue to provide exceptional service for our customers as we enter another exciting period of growth.”
Chris Chambers, area director at HSBC UK, added: “We’re committed to developing personal relationships with our customers and are pleased to be able to provide invaluable support to BR Saunders. We look forward to seeing the new fleet in action and the business continue to grow.”
BR Saunders Ltd was founded in 1952 by Bernard Roy Saunders and is now on the third generation of family management. It provides reliable and skilled haulage services such as lorry-mounted cranes in the South of England and across the UK.
