Clean tech and decarbonisation congress launches in London

Innovation Zero, the clean tech and decarbonisation congress launching in the UK this year endorsed by Rishi Sunak, opens at Olympia London tomorrow.

Chaired by the Rt Hon Dr Liam Fox MP, the former Secretary of State for International Trade, the event will welcome 7,000 business leaders across May 24 and 25. Over 400 speakers from businesses such as HSBC, Virgin Atlantic and Uber will come together to collaborate on action to reduce the effects of climate change on our planet.

The mixture of start-ups, blue-chip business and PLCs present will discuss sustainable energy solutions. They will be joined by investors in the conversation over how to best finance them, as well as covering topical markets such as AI.

Speaking about the event, programme available here, Prime Minister Sunak said: “I am delighted to see such an exciting project choosing London for its inaugural event. Innovation Zero brings together trade and investment, finance, energy and environmental specialists and puts them alongside the best of our innovators and businesses who see decarbonisation as an opportunity, not a problem.”

Olympia London was chosen for the event thanks to its ESG programme the Grand Plan, and commitment to Net Zero, as well as its location as a gateway into the capital.

Olympia London’s commercial director, Anna Golden commented: “It’s a privilege to be hosting Innovation Zero’s first event and we are excited to be playing a role in facilitating positive action on climate change, with so many key policy makers and business leaders.”
