Hayley Menzies announces second London store to open in Carnaby
Shaftesbury Capital is pleased to announce that London-based contemporary luxury brand Hayley Menzies has opened its doors with a new boutique at 8 Newburgh Street.
The space which measures 640 sq ft showcases a cornucopia of colour, print and artisanal embellishment with a selection of the season’s ready to wear offering, while downstairs sees the much-coveted iconic knitwear take up residence in the leopard-lined lounge.
Andrew Price, executive director at Shaftesbury Capital says; “We’re delighted that Hayley Menzies has chosen Carnaby to be the home of her first West End boutique. The contemporary luxury brand is a great addition to Carnaby’s leading fashion offer and will complement the neighbouring independent brands on Newburgh Street.”
Providing a central London home for the brand, the new location will host a highly curated edit of Hayley Menzies essentials for those embarking on a day out in the city’s shopping district.
Hayley Menzies, creative director at Hayley Menzies says; “Soho is my old stomping ground, and Carnaby especially is one of those places that everyone seems to remember fondly with a twinkle in their eye! It feels like the right fit for my brand, with its rock ‘n’ roll rebellious heritage and a place visited to discover innovative brands selling unique and exciting pieces.”
Hayley’s celebration of beautifully made items extends from fashion into furnishings, as she accentuates every available surface with a flamboyant array of handpicked antiques - a natural choice given the brand’s vintage market stall roots and the designer’s obsession with the archival.
