Doncaster investment opportunities showcased at UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum
Having first taken place in 2022, the UK’s Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF) has already become a key event in the business calendar for UK inward investment and property development. This year’s event took place from 16 - 18 May at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
The event brought together both public and private sector including Government, investors, funders, developers, housebuilders and more, all looking to connect people, places and businesses in order to accelerate and unlock sustainable, inclusive and transformational investment.
With representation from all of the UK’s core cities, over 7,000 delegates and 300 speakers across more than 20 stages, the event certainly delivered all expectations.
The City of Doncaster Council attended as part of a South Yorkshire delegation, with the exhibition stand promoting all four local authority areas and their investible propositions. Everyone there was focussed on attracting and assisting development and investment into the South Yorkshire Region.
Representatives from the City of Doncaster Council enjoyed a highly successful 3 days of networking, events and meetings with expert panellists at the top of their respective fields joining them for a special Doncaster Investment Opportunity Showcase event hosted on Wednesday 17 May. The event was designed to explore, educate and showcase Doncaster’s investment opportunities to a bespoke audience.
The Doncaster Investment Opportunity Showcase consisted of a public and private sector panel with representatives from organisations such as Waystone Developments (Helen McLoughlin), Wilton Developments (Jason Stowe), Vigo Group (Tariq Shah), Davis Hughes (Josh Davis) and Doncaster Council.
Commenting on the event, Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said: “Doncaster has transformed over the last decade and continues to go from strength to strength as a city to invest and do business in.
“As the newest city in the North of England, we are ambitious, forward thinking and passionate about our place, as well as having a prime investment portfolio and a choice selection of enabling assets from superb connectivity to an inspired workforce”.
Dan Swaine, director for Place, Doncaster Council added: “the Showcase event provided an unrivalled opportunity for us to highlight Doncaster’s extensive range of investment opportunities and to also promote the excellent working partnerships we have with some of the UK’s leading developers that are driving economic growth in the newest city in the North of England.”
During the week, Doncaster delegates spoke to many businesses and potential investment partners with further engagement and conversations set to continue throughout the year.
