First look: Gordon Ramsay opens new “revolutionary” Asian-inspired restaurant
Renowned chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay has announced that Lucky Cat, his “innovative” Asian-inspired restaurant, is officially opening its doors today on King Street.
The “unrivalled” dining experience has landed in Manchester, bringing with it the “electric dynamism of Ramsay’s culinary genius”. As Lucky Cat’s second location worldwide, this grand opening cements Manchester’s position as a frontrunner on the global food and drink stage.

Nestled on King Street within an Art Deco building, Lucky Cat aims to be a “tour-de-force of opulence and exhilaration”. Featuring a blend of 1930s Tokyo kissas and Shanghai drinking dens, Lucky Cat combines theatrical flair with “tantalising” flavours with the hopes of creating a “truly revolutionary dining experience”.
Designed and brought to life by Russell Sage Studio, the interiors pay homage to the building’s rich history, while adding in splashes of character for Lucky Cat. Every dish at Lucky Cat seeks to showcase the “highest calibre” of Asian gastronomy, devised by Gordon Ramsay and his executive head chef, André Camilo.

A spokesperson from Lucky Cat noted: “Adding to the intrigue, Lucky Cat presents the thrilling Lucky Negroni. In a daring game of chance, the gin in your cocktail is determined by the roll of a dice, making each drink a unique experience.”
Chef Ramsay added: “Lucky Cat is more than just a restaurant; it’s an extraordinary encounter. We’re ready to dazzle Manchester’s vibrant culinary scene with a gastronomic spectacle that will leave you craving more!”
