Housebuilder hosts Feng Shui ceremony at Wandsworth development

Barratt London held a traditional Feng Shui Ground Blessing at its Springfield Place development in Wandsworth to mark the opening of their two new show houses which are now available to view for prospective buyers. The ceremony recently took place to promote a prosperous and auspicious future for current and future residents of the development.

The event was hosted by Master Angela Ang from Rising Dragon Feng Shui, and was attended by a number of representatives from Barratt London and Councillor Mrs. Rosemary Birchall. Master Angela Ang delivered a traditional Chinese ground blessing at the development to wish success, harmony and balance for new homeowners, and bring renewed positive energy to the land in preparation for the year ahead.

The event included a number of traditional Chinese blessings and offerings to the Ground Deity, including cleansing Buddhist mantra chanting to promote a prosperous and auspicious future, and a ground blessing of consecrated Talisman water.

The space was then cleared and blessed by the ringing of the sacred Vajra bell and Dorje, accompanied by hand mudras; while offerings of smelling incenses, fruit, flowers and tea were made to the Ground Deity following the traditional Chinese methods observed in South East Asia.

Jeremy Marcus, sales and marketing director for Barratt East London, commented: “We are proud to welcome Feng Shui Master Angela today to Springfield Place and hold the first Ground Blessing at one of our developments, to invoke luck and success as we deliver new homes to Wandsworth for a wide variety of buyers.

“From first time buyers to families, Springfield Place offers the best of both worlds for residents, giving the perfect mix of city life whilst also having the nearby green space on your doorstep. And, for the many young professionals renting in the area the new homes that are being brought to the area will provide a welcome and attractive opportunity for them to take their first steps onto the property ladder.”

Chinese Feng Shui Master Angela Ang, who is well respected in her field and one of the most experienced traditional Feng Shui Masters in England with her 24 years experience adds: “Using traditional Buddhist methods, we blessed the land in Springfield Place for present and future residents.

“Southwest London is one of the most wealth producing and prosperous Feng Shui area in London. Whoever has the good fortune to live here is definitely blessed.”

Barratt London’s Tooting development Springfield Place will eventually feature 232 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, and 29 two and three-bedroom houses, on the 82-acre Springfield Village site. Bordering leafy Wandsworth Common, the new urban village will connect Tooting Bec to Earlsfield, when it is complete.

When it comes to existing transport links, the development is just a short walk from both Tooting Bec and Wandsworth Common stations. This summer, a 32-acre park, the largest to be created in the capital since the 2012 London Olympics will open at the development.
