North Yorkshire activity centre invests in new ‘Lakehouse’ accommodation block
Carlton Lodge Activity Centre has announced the opening of ‘The Lakehouse’ a new accommodation block that provides a brand-new level of facilities at the Centre.
The new accommodation has more bespoke bathrooms, improved use of space and an upgraded experience for guests on residential activity stays.
Coinciding with the new accommodation, a price freeze on its activity days until March 2024 has also been announced to help families to continue to keep their children active through its education and activity programmes.
David Sharp, chief executive, commented: “We are very excited about opening The Lakehouse which is part of our continuing investment in developing Carlton Lodge Activity Centre and gives our young visitors an overall high level experience as part of their activity events here.”
The Centre will also be offering a range of discounts for bookings made in winter months when more indoor activities will be included in its programmes.
All of the activities are delivered by fully qualified and experienced instructors and all staff hold the relevant National Governing Body (NGB) qualification or complete intensive in-house training for the relevant activities. All activity staff undertake basic youth work training to make sure the young people get the maximum out of their visit.
David added: “We are aware however that the cost of living is affecting families and that many people are having to make choices about their spending decisions. Even though our own costs are rising, we believe that by holding our prices we will be able to help more families in these difficult economic times.”
