APDO Strengthens the Board with Latest Appointment
The Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers (APDO), has appointed Simon Wigzell to the position of Events Director.
Simon, who has both a professional organiser and events background, is founder of Let’s Get It Sorted, a highly successful organising service for private individuals and businesses. Simon will now draw on his own valuable experience, to add further value to APDO members.
Taking a place on the APDO Board, Simon will be managing and expanding upon the organisation’s popular activity schedule, which offers highly relevant, engaging and career building events, specifically the extremely well subscribed APDO conference (held annually across two days, and offering an invaluable opportunity for those developing and growing a business in the industry). Simon was part of this year’s conference team and led the operations onsite.
As his role develops, Simon will also be supporting other more campaign-led events, such as APDO’s National Organising Week, held in November and designed to share expert advice, tips, and information to help people organise their homes.
Siân Pelleschi, President of APDO, comments: “We are thrilled that Simon has joined the APDO board in this recently expanded role.
“With over 10 years’ experience in running a highly successful business in the industry, Simon is extremely well suited to the position and will be a great asset. He is already brimming with ideas on how we can enhance the current events offering, and we are excited to see these come to fruition. Welcome to the board Simon!”
APDO, the UK’s membership association for decluttering and organising professionals, sets standards, provides professional development and supports the growth of the industry. Founded in 2004, APDO is a non-profit organisation and belongs to a global community of professional organising associations which foster collaboration to advance the industry through sharing information and ideas.
