New director appointed as recruitment firm thrives

An energy and renewables recruitment agency has appointed a senior member of the team as it continues to grow.

Visuna, which is based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, provides world-class workforce solutions in the energy, renewables and technology sectors around the world.

The firm, which also has offices in the USA, Australia and Saudi Arabia, has taken on Craig Dalziel as permanent recruitment director, who will be based in the North East.

Commercial director David Bolton said: “We’re delighted to welcome Craig to the Visuna team. He has over 10 years of experience in senior recruitment positions, with a focus on filling roles in the tech sector.

“He has shown himself to be a strong leader with a track record of establishing long-term client partnerships, maintaining best practice and high standards, and providing innovative solutions to recruiting in this highly competitive market.”

The new role has been created in response to continued growth at the firm, which diversified into the renewables and tech sectors last year. It will involve developing and leading a team of consultants, implementing a sales strategy, and devising targeted research into the sector.

David added: “We have a 20-year history recruiting for roles in the energy sector, and our rebrand and diversification in August 2022 allowed us to expand our remit. Craig’s wealth of experience in tech recruitment will allow us to continue to build on that area of the business.

“The nature of the fast-moving energy sector meant that we previously focused on contract and consultant positions.

“However, under the Visuna brand, we have begun to start filling permanent roles, which is a significant shift. Craig’s role involves the creation and management of a direct hire team to maximise the permanent side of the business, which is crucial for our overall growth plans.”
