Farming organisation finds new pastures thanks to Bromwich Hardy
An organisation supporting the farming industry has moved into a flagship new headquarters in the West Midlands.
Commercial property specialists Bromwich Hardy helped secure the deal which saw the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board move into International House on the Middlemarch Business Park in Coventry – which is where Bromwich Hardy is also based.
Founding partner Tom Bromwich said: “International House is a stunning building, and we were delighted to be able to help the landlord secure such a prestigious tenant. We are based on the same business park so we can confidently assure any prospective tenant that it is a great place to do business!”
International House is a prestigious, detached headquarters building with offices, warehouse space and car parking. It has been let on a 10-year lease at market rent.
Tom added: “The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board exists to help the industry develop and thrive, so Coventry is the perfect place for their headquarters. We are surrounded by the agricultural heartlands of England but have great motorway and rail connections with the rest of the country, so the setting is ideal.
“Since the pandemic we have noticed a huge demand for very good quality offices which offer a nice environment in which to work. International House certainly meets that criterion so it’s not surprising it was snapped up.”
International House amounts to 16,121 sq ft (1,497.71 sq m) of accommodation across three floors and includes open plan office space, meeting rooms, boardrooms, a staff canteen and break out area.
The offices have ceiling mounted heating/cooling, good natural light, lift access to all floors and a welcoming reception area. There are also staff washrooms and showers.
The AHDB is funded by farmers, growers and others in the supply chain to help the industry succeed in a rapidly changing world. It aims to create a world-class food and farming industry, inspired by and competing with the best.
The head office in Coventry is supported by a network of more than 100 regional officers around the country. There is also an international team working to develop new export markets in China and the far East as well as supporting existing exports to established markets like France and Belgium.
Bromwich Hardy is one of the country’s largest independent commercial property agencies, regularly featuring in independent lists of the most active firms in the industry.
It was named earlier this year as the most active agent for Warwickshire for the ninth year running as part of the 2022 Annual EG Radius awards and won four awards from industry data experts CoStar for its work in Coventry and Warwickshire.
