Double Win for Sustainability Innovator at Environmental Packaging Awards
Global manufacturer of sustainable packaging, Cullen Eco-Friendly Packaging, has won two prestigious awards at the Environmental Packaging Awards.
It scooped silver in both Household Goods and Personal Care categories with a product that is a result of tireless innovation and relentless focus on creating a viable replacement for plastic bottles. The latest creation, the Fibre Bottle, has the potential to remove 270 million plastic bottles or pouches from shelves a year.
On a panel discussing the viability of compostable and biodegradable materials, the company’s Head of Marketing and Business Development, Maureen Stevenson, presented the company’s groundbreaking moulded fibre compostable packaging bottle.
The new product highlighted Cullen’s innovation capabilities to replace plastic with mass scale, sustainable moulded fibre alternatives to plastic packaging.
The Environmental Packaging Awards, which took place in Birmingham on 13th June 2023, aims to promote environmental awareness by featuring the latest creations and prominent industry experts. Other winning entries include Tesco, which took home the prize for Sustainable Retailer of the Year, and the chair of the OPRL Jane Bevis, who won the Environmental Champion Award.
Maureen Stevenson, Head of Marketing and Business Development: “We are thrilled to receive these prestigious awards, which underline our relentless dedication to developing sustainable packaging solutions. The Fibre Bottle is a game-changer in the industry, and this recognition further solidifies our position as a leader in sustainable packaging. We remain committed to driving innovation and promoting environmental awareness, not just in packaging, but industry-wide.”
