Ardent smashes through £10million turnover mark as it reveals new image

A leading surveying and consents management practice, with offices across the UK and Ireland, has broken the £10 million turnover mark for the first time and has undergone a major image change.

Ardent, which has expertise in the transport, renewables, utilities and regeneration sectors, achieved £10.75 million in its latest annual figures and has set targets to more than double that over the next three years.

The company, which currently employs around 125 staff at offices in London, Birmingham, Leeds, Warrington, Glasgow and Dublin, is also aiming to reach a 250 headcount by 2026.

Ardent, previously known as Ardent Management, is also investing in the development of its staff from apprentices right through to its senior leaders.

Jon Stott, who re-joined the company as Group Managing Director in November 2022, said Ardent was looking ahead with confidence, with a core focus on sectors that deliver life-improving change for communities and future generations.

He said: “We are, naturally, delighted to go past the £10 million turnover mark for the first time in the company’s 31-year history and, over the next three years, our aim is to go beyond that and to double in size when it comes to the size of our team across the UK and Ireland.

“There is incredible expertise across the business – from compulsory purchase through to land referencing – which is vital to our success.

“Through our rebranding exercise we have, however, decided to focus on sectors as we believe this is what helps to set us apart from other practices.

“It has been a real team effort, with input from teams across the country through surveys and workshops. “And it goes beyond a rebranding exercise. This is setting out a vision of the business we already are but, more importantly, the company we are striving to be over the coming years.

“We are proud of the work we do and the sectors we operate in. In transport, renewables, utilities and regeneration, our teams are making a positive impact – whether it’s supporting schemes that improve transport developments, helping new energy projects get underway or creating homes and jobs in communities.

“That goes to our very core and is something that really shone through when we were talking to our teams about our brand and the future of the company.

“We have enjoyed some significant new contract wins over the past few weeks, we are hiring new people – all at various stages of their career – and we are looking at expanding our footprint in some of the regions we already operate in.

“This is a very exciting time for the business and we’re very excited for the future.”
