Kent residential development delivers 220 new homes and seven-figure investment
Building work is nearing the final stages at a development in Ashford, where there are now only two new homes remaining for sale.
Bellway Kent is building 220 new homes at Hinxhill Park, off Hythe Road, as well as contributing more than £2.5m towards infrastructure improvements in the local area. Work started on the site in 2019 and is due to be completed this Summer. Just two homes are now available to reserve, both four-bedroom detached properties.
Mark Harrop, sales director for Bellway Kent, commented: “Hinxhill Park has proven to be a very popular site and has successfully delivered a variety of housing suitable for buyers at different stages of the property ladder. It has been great to see buyers respond so well to the site and see this new community take shape as residents move in.
“We’ve provided 176 much-needed homes for the private market and 44 affordable homes, as well as creating a new link road between the A20 and the rear of William Harvey Hospital, while the development has created jobs during the construction phase, as well as supporting local suppliers and contractors.
“The development has also brought significant investment in the local area as part of the planning agreement, with financial contributions totalling more than £2.5m going towards schools, roads and a whole host of community facilities. We are now looking forward to completing building work here and welcoming the final residents into their new homes.”
Bellway’s planning contributions include £848k towards primary education and £441k towards secondary education, while £669k has been allocated towards the construction of junction 10A of the M20 and £367k towards the development and maintenance of a new outdoor activity zone at the Julie Rose Stadium in Ashford.
Contributions have also been made towards adult social care, allotments, cemeteries, community learning, parks and youth services.
