Sophie Powell, Richardsons

A Bradford-based office design firm has bolstered the 30-strong team with a new graduate interior designer. Sophie Powell, who graduated in Interior Design from the University of Salford in 2021, has joined Low Moor-based Richardsons which specialises in creating commercial spaces for businesses across the country.

Thornton-based Sophie will be supporting the company on day-to-day activities including space planning, interior design, creating technical visuals and offering customers design solutions at varying budgets. Of her first role in the industry, Sophie comments: “I was looking for an interior design job and keen to stay local to Bradford, so I was thrilled to come across the opportunity at Richardsons.

“It’s such a positive workplace, I’ve already gained so much experience from the team around me and had the opportunity to visit client sites, create design plans and learn about all of the different pieces of the puzzle that come together when we’re creating a space that is entirely tailored to the client’s needs. I’m looking forward to getting stuck into more projects and supporting the team at all the different stages of design.”

Steven Richardson, managing director of the firm, which was founded by his parents, said: “Sophie has already proven to be a wonderful asset to the team, bringing with her impressive design skills and a real aptitude for creative design proposals and ideas.

Speaking of current industry trends, Steven comments; “Hybrid working has had a huge impact on the types of spaces our clients are asking for, with a focus on collaboration, thoughtful design and comfort over stringent desk layouts featuring mass-produced furniture or private offices.”

Suzanne Jaconelli, Ward Hadaway

Leading Leeds-based law firm Ward Hadaway has announced the appointment of Suzanne Jaconelli to its private client team. Suzanne joins as a specialist solicitor, providing legal support and guidance in complex and high-value estate and succession planning matters. Her areas of expertise include wills, trusts, inheritance tax, powers of attorney, and cross-border considerations.

Dr Clint Bainbridge, Addition Design

An innovative design and additive manufacturing business based in Rotherham has added a key appointment to its team.

Dr Clint Bainbridge, from Chesterfield, has joined Addition Design’s AddParts team as a 3D printing technician which sees him take responsibility for the smooth-running of the print process and delivering customer requirements to spec and on time.

Dr Bainbridge said: “As a material scientist, I’m interested in learning all about additive manufacturing and design for additive manufacture. As part of my new role, I’m looking forward to processing the prints for our customers - from parts for customer products to virtual inventory of digital spares which customers have stored on our portal.

“I’m really happy to be here and joining Addition Design at a time where the business is looking to expand and grow in new areas.”

Jenna Bennett, true9

Leading technology consultancy partner true9 has announced the appointment of Jenna Bennett as the business’s new head of implementation. Based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, true9 is an established technology consultancy partner that works with businesses seeking cutting-edge digital products and services.

The business has collaborated with prestigious organisations such as Channel 4, Lloyds Private Banking and the NHS across a diverse range of projects. New head of implementation Jenna Bennett will be tasked with helping to lead further business growth as true9 approaches a milestone ninth birthday.
