Nando’s brings a new restaurant to London Waterloo

PERi-PERi fans rejoice! Nando’s newest London restaurant is opening its doors and firing up the grills from today. Located in The Sidings, the new experience-led destination below platforms 20-24 in Waterloo station, Nando’s spicy new site is one of the chicken chain’s biggest openings this year.

With the UK’s largest pub next door and less than a 10-minutes’ walk to The Old Vic and The Young Vic theatres, The Vaults, South Bank, and The London Eye, Nando’s newest opening is the perfect spot to fuel up on PERi-PERi before an afternoon of sight-seeing, or an evening out.

The new restaurant seats 175 in total, across indoor and outdoor seating. Flavour fans will also be able to order takeaway and Click and Collect to enjoy their Nando’s at home.

To deliver the unique Nando’s experience and its irresistible PERi-PERi to its new Waterloo customers, Nando’s has created 50 jobs for people in the local community. This includes providing job opportunities to candidates via the Department for Work and Pensions and the charity Resurgo that runs Spear, a year-long programme helping young people facing barriers to work into sustainable employment.

The new restaurant is also supporting the Draper Together charity in Elephant and Castle with food donations, part of the business’ No Chuckin’ Our Chicken initiative.

Restaurant manager, Erika Zederstemaite said: “We’re delighted to be opening the doors to our brand-new Waterloo- The Sidings restaurant! This is a really exciting opening for us, and we can’t wait to be serving up Nando’s iconic PERi-PERi and good vibes at a new spot in London!”

The Sidings is a new 135,000 sq ft landmark destination in Waterloo station created by developer and placemaking expert LCR. Nando’s joins a series of unique and exciting brands, with the destination aiming to complement the thriving South Bank and echo its creative, independent spirit.
