North East Chamber of Commerce partners with overseas Chamber to support trade

The North East England Chamber of Commerce (NEECC) has partnered with the Isle of Man (IOM) Chamber of Commerce to provide businesses with trade support and certification services.

The collaboration aims to provide members with comprehensive solutions and expert advice to help them negotiate the evolving landscape of international trade. The partnership comes as the NEECC has been announced top of the national Chamber league in the number of customs declarations processed in the first half of this year.

James Davison, head of International Trade at the North East England Chamber of Commerce, commented: “As the leading North East organisation for international trade, we are proud to offer Isle of Man Chamber members access to our multidisciplinary suite of international services, knowledge and expertise.

“We offer a comprehensive range of trade services, including export documents, international trade consultancy and BCC-accredited training courses. We have also recently introduced a service for those outside of the Chamber network, which further enhances the offer to Isle of Man businesses.

“Collaboration is key to business success, and we are proud to work with our overseas colleagues to secure a brighter, stronger and united future for Chamber members.”

This year, the NEECC International Trade team has already processed over 6,600 submissions for export documentation and has helped over 360 members through international trade and training consultancy services.

IOM Chamber CEO Rebecca George added: “We are thrilled about our partnership with North East England Chamber, which ensures our members have access to the expertise and resources necessary to thrive in the international trade arena.”

To help IOM businesses find out more about the extensive trade services available, representatives from NEECC will deliver a presentation to provide valuable insights into the various trade offerings, equipping businesses with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions and maximise their international trade potential.

NEECC’s multidisciplinary suite of international services, events, knowledge and expertise saves businesses time and money.

The team draws inspiration and content for their quarterly International Trade Forums from its members, relevant government policy impacting international trade and topical subjects, ensuring members are kept up to date with the latest developments.
