Norton Hive Flying High with Jackdaw

The Norton Hive Library and Community Hub has invested in a new website that is helping them communicate better with their community about events, what’s on, room hire and much more.

Built by Jackie Latham at Jackdaw Web Design, the website features accessible details, so the website is easy for all to use.

The Norton Hive Library and Community Hub is run by volunteers to provide library services and community facilities for Norton and surrounding areas. Everyone is welcome and members can enjoy fiction and non-fiction books (including large print editions), and books for the very young, juniors and teens. There are also regular craft clubs, story times, spinning groups, a book club and regular events. David Hurley who appointed Jackie to work on the website said:

“Jackie Latham at Jackdaw Web Design produced a great new website for Norton Hive Library & Community Hub. Jackie’s advice and guidance has proved invaluable. The clever little tutorial videos were an excellent touch. Jackie posted them on YouTube to teach our volunteers how to easily manage updates and add new posters to our new website.

“The whole process was stress free and jargon free which is so important for the non-technical. Jackie’s service far outmatched her fee.”

Jackie who specialises in WordPress websites for charities, community groups and CIC’s provided Norton Hive with a website that they can easily update, with news and events and that has details on how to hire the space, which historically used to be an old primary school. Jackie said:

“David and the team at Norton Hive were a pleasure to work with and I am happy they love their finished website. As with all clients they have security in the knowledge that I am always here to help them going forward with updates or technical support. I get such a buzz at working in this sector, so I loved working with the bees on the logo!”

Jackie continues to work with Norton Hive to keep the website safe and secure and to be on hand for any updates or queries from the team.
