Nando’s announces opening of new restaurant at “iconic” London landmark
Nando’s has made its debut at Battersea Power Station. The chicken chain’s newest restaurant is opening its doors and firing up the grills at one of London’s most “iconic landmarks” from today.
Serving all of its staple dishes alongside the newly launched Sunset Slushie, PERi-cante frozen cocktails and Fully Loaded Chips, fans can also expect to find the “iconic” Nando’s sauces available to try in a brand-new format at the PERi-PERi sauce pump.
From artwork to lighting design and furnishings, Nando’s champions its Southern African heritage by continually working with South African based designers across all aspects of its restaurants.
At Nando’s Battersea Power Station restaurant this includes Haywire light fittings from South African furniture designer, David Krynauw, and furniture from the Nando’s Portal to Africa design programme. Nando’s Portuguese influence is also celebrated with stunning handmade Portuguese tiles that feature throughout the restaurant space.
The new restaurant seats 120 in total, and customers will be able to order takeaway and Click and Collect to enjoy their Nando’s at home.

To deliver the “unique” Nando’s experience and its irresistible PERi-PERi to its new Battersea Power Station customers, Nando’s has created 60 jobs including a few internal transfers. Nando’s is also collaborating with Battersea Power Station’s existing communities and sustainability programme as part of its ‘No Chuckin’ Our Chicken’ initiative.
Restaurant manager, Keidison Machado commented: “We’re so excited to be opening the doors to our stunning new Battersea Power Station restaurant! It’s an amazing space in London’s exciting new retail, leisure and cultural destination and we can’t wait to welcome our new customers.”
Home to over 100 shops, bars, restaurants, leisure venues, office and event spaces, Battersea Power Station recently bolstered its food and drink offering with the launch of its modern dining food hall on July 26.
A spokesperson added: “Whether you’re on a family day out, or a first date, Nando’s shiny new restaurant is the ideal spot to fuel up before enjoying attractions including The Cinema In The Power Station, Bounce Ping Pong, Lift 109, or the newly opened ‘Escape The Power Cut’ experience at Control Room B.”
