Armchair Exercise Takes Centre Stage at Melbourne House!
At Melbourne House Care Home, embracing the power of exercise during an armchair exercise session is all part of the routine.
Everyone was charged with excitement and determination as they were about to embark on a new journey to better health, strength and flexibility.
Alicja Mensah, Manager at Melbourne House. “Gentle exercise is something everyone enjoys; it isn’t too strenuous, and everyone can participate. We get started with a few shoulder rolls and then we’re ready for the rest.”
In a group, residents mirror the instructor with movements such as shoulder lifting and rolling, dropping in synchronised harmony where age is no barrier to taking part.
More than just exercise, this session is about building camaraderie, a shared joy and a talking point for everyone to focus on.
