Newcastle city centre’s brand new bar reveals opening date and shares first look

Tickets, Newcastle city centre’s newest bar, will open its doors to customers on Friday August 25.

Situated inside The Old Ticket Office building on Neville Street, the venue has been completely transformed into a space designed to be “perfect for any occasion, from intimate drinks with a loved one, a catch up with family and friends or simply a cosy place to relax and enjoy a drink”.

Whilst the venue has undergone a complete refurbishment, it has maintained and restored original features from the historical Victorian building, including the period pattern 1920s terrazzo floor.

The new interior is inspired by the building’s original heritage, Newcastle Central Stations ticket office. Guests can enjoy “classy” dark green and lilac tones, complemented by gold features, alongside “stunning” artwork inspired by train stations across the UK.

In keeping with the rail theme, the carefully crafted signature cocktail menu takes regional inspiration on timeless favourites, from a Cockney Collins and Scot’s Sour to a Toon Iced Tea, each serve is bursting with flavour. Also on the menu is a premium range of beers, wine and spirits.

Emma Harvey, general manager at Tickets, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome everyone through the doors of Newcastle’s newest bar, Tickets. With its rich history, carefully crafted menu, and cosy interiors, it’s the perfect addition to the city’s nightlife.”
