Victoria Leeds ‘bucks the trend’ as it attracts seven new ‘iconic’ brands to roster

A high-profile Yorkshire shopping destination will add seven new openings to its ‘already impressive’ roster of brands this quarter.

Where retail in other areas is struggling, Victoria Leeds is attracting new businesses, and therefore customers, into the heart of the city. With Ace & Tate and Bird & Blend now open in the centre, followed by Monica Vinader, Caffe Concerto, Ikaro, Pour Moi and Le Blé, all opening throughout autumn of this year.

Monica Vinader will be the first, full price standalone store outside of London for the renowned jeweller which creates everyday, wearable jewellery and a brand that was key to the ‘stackables’ trend. Open as of August, Ace & Tate is a certified B Corp eyewear specialist which designs all of their frames itself, in Amsterdam.

Italian brasserie brand Caffe Concerto brings a ‘stylish’ restaurant and fine food experience to the city. Leeds is the second location to open outside of London and will be positioned within Victoria Gate with outdoor seating onto Harewood Street.

Dabangg Hospitality Group is coming to Victoria Leeds this autumn with Ikaro. The group behind Sakkusamba and Estabulo, will bring ‘high-end’ restaurant and late-night bar, Ikaro offering seafood, grill, and a Champagne bar, taking over what was the former East 59th restaurant’s unit, adjacent to ISSHO.

Pour Moi is a lingerie, nightwear, and beachwear specialist offering ‘luxurious’ lingerie and supportive swimwear in a range of sizes and will be situated in Victoria Gate.

Mediterranean bakery and patisserie brand Le Blé offers coffee art and freshly baked, and Mediterranean-inspired goods, from desserts and sandwiches to cakes and croissants. The eco-conscious award-winning tea company Bird & Blend Tea Co also opened its Leeds store this month.

Following the openings of Phase Eight, Whistles, The Whisky Shop, Jimmy Fairly and Townhouse, Victoria Leeds continues to cement itself firmly as a stalwart shopping destination outside of London for aspirational, desirable, and exclusive brands.

Real Estate specialists Rivington Hark manage the destination alongside property management specialists, Montagu Evans. Robert Hadfield, Director at Rivington Hark, commented: “Long gone are the days when shoppers expected high streets to all look, and offer, the same.

“Shoppers nowadays thrive on the uniqueness of their shopping experience, and that’s what we offer at Victoria Leeds. We create not only shopping destinations but inspiring experiences; we want to curate an exciting and enjoyable experience for both the brands we house and the customers we welcome daily.”
