Lincoln entertainment venue set for six-figure refurbishment following acquisition

It’s a ‘winning strike’ for a ten-pin bowling centre in Lincoln, after Hollywood Bowl announced its plans to invest in upgrading the centre following its acquisition.

The UK’s leading ten-pin bowling and competitive socialising business which operates 71 centres nationwide has acquired 20 lane Lincoln Bowl and plans to transform the centre with a half-million pound refurbishment in early 2024.

David Williams, Operations Director at Hollywood Bowl, commented: “We are excited to be bringing the Hollywood Bowl family bowling and entertainment experience to Lincoln and are committed to investing in the centre’s future with centre-wide enhancements taking place early next year.

“We are also delighted to be welcoming the existing Lincoln Bowl team into the Hollywood Bowl family. To get the ball rolling we will make some immediate changes, allowing guests to pre-book online and wear their own shoes to bowl in.

“We will ensure Hollywood Bowl Lincoln offers a great value experience for friends and families of all ages to have fun and make memories together whilst they enjoy great bowling, quality food and drinks, as well as an exciting amusement area.”

Hollywood Bowl is part of the Hollywood Bowl Group, a ten-pin bowling and competitive socialising business with 71 centres operating under the Hollywood Bowl, and Puttstars (mini golf) brands in the UK, and nine bowling centres in Canada operating under the Splitsville brand.

Specialising in ‘modern, high-quality’ bowling centres, Hollywood Bowl has built a reputation for delivering outstanding family entertainment in venues that, due to their unique nature, are also aspirational leisure destinations for young adults and perfect for corporate parties and events.

Hollywood Bowl has modernised the customer bowling experience. Centres offer ‘state-of-the-art’ booking systems, premium American diners, licensed bars, Costa Coffee outlets and exclusive pre-bookable VIP lanes. The company employs 2,200 team members, 100 of whom are based at its central support centre in Hemel Hempstead.
