    Durham hosts healthcare recruitment event
A recruitment event for healthcare assistants will be held in Durham with jobs available across County Durham and Darlington.
Healthcare assistants are a vital support to the nursing teams in delivering care to patients and are responsible for ensuring patients have as comfortable and stress-free an experience as possible. If you want a unique opportunity to start a career with your local NHS and make a difference to patients please come along to our healthcare assistant recruitment day in Durham on Saturday, November 11 2023.
Jane Carr Matron Practice Education and Development Team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust said: “We wanted to do something different and to bring potential employees together in a way that is more relaxed whilst providing an introduction to the Trust and our values and what makes #TeamCDDFT such a great place to work.
“There will be three sessions throughout the day which will allow candidates an opportunity to speak to some of our teams and existing healthcare assistants and to learn about the fantastic staff benefits, training, and development on offer in the Trust.
“There will be on-the-day speed interviews and our recruitment colleagues will be able to carry out the necessary pre-employment checks too, meaning you could walk away from the event with a job offer.”
Becoming a healthcare assistant can also be the first step to a nursing career. We offer career pathways via apprenticeships within the nursing profession and access to further qualifications and training opportunities within the Trust.
