Beanie Media Kick Starts Web Developers Career
Huddersfield web design agency, Beanie Media are celebrating a two-year anniversary and apprenticeship graduation for recruit Reece Trickett, who joined the firm through the governments Kickstarter scheme.
Reece joined Beanie Media through the Kickstarter scheme in 2021, which was installed to provide funding to create new jobs for 16- to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who were at risk of long term unemployment.
Beanie Media Managing Director Melissa Cooper was drawn to his CV as it showed he had an interest in web and computers and as a young entrepreneur herself, she saw the opportunity to nurture his skills and interests.
Melissa says:
From day one, Reece’s positive attitude and eagerness to learn stood out. In just six months, he had already begun to shine, demonstrating immense potential. We then made the decision to offer him an apprenticeship, and over the last two years, he has not only honed his skills but also transformed into an exceptional web developer. I am very passionate about nurturing young talent, especially those who are local, providing much needed employment opportunities.
Melissa was a Marketing Apprentice herself before she took the leap of faith to set up her own agency. Beanie Media offers web design and development, alongside eCommerce advertising to organisations various sizes, from start-ups to established organisations trading internationally. Some of their clients include Colliers International, JADE Windows, France and Associates, Corton Wood Shopping Park and Mumby’s Live-In-Care.
Reece is marking his two-year anniversary with Beanie Media, and more significantly, he is also graduating from his apprenticeship as a fully qualified web developer.
Reece says:
I am so grateful to Melissa for taking me on two years ago, when I had very little experience. I have shown my passion and determination and learnt so much over the last two years. I look forward to continuing to grow with this business.
